do we have to regularly update our sap crystal report version in visual studio and on user machines?
- Yes. Absolutely. Version 13.0.1.2.1494 does not support visual studio 2013(!). You must get to SP 14!
if I decide to finalize (that means no further changes the visual studio app ) my final app with above crystal report. will it still work at end user in 2020?
- if you disconnect the computer from the internet and do not allow any updates to it, be it security, OS, install of other apps, etc., etc., then yes. Absolutely... (Would MS guarantee that MS Office 2013 will run in 2020(?)).
You may want to consider using ClickOnce deployment. With that, at least the CR runtime will be updated as updates are released (if done right).
